Spot on again. I genuinely can’t see how we pull out of this, whether Ramsey keeps his job or not. The Stoke and Blues games were good defensive performances, but the side is devoid of creativity and, crucially, confidence. I can’t see anyone turning this round.
It will be interesting to see how the atmosphere in the ground develops. Will people get more angry or will they, like most of my mates, just become fatalistic?
It feels very grim doesn't it. The lack of capable creators and attacking runners makes for a side so easily defended against. Not one of them seems to truly want to take responsibility in attack, and you just can't see where the next goal's coming from.
I think we'll see a mixture of anger and apathy from here. I'm worried that tomorrow night will be very, very toxic unless Albion can somehow nudge themselves in front early on and then hopefully build a little bit of confidence via giving the fans some hope. I cannot fathom how they stick with Ramsay if we don't win this game.
Couldn't have summed it up better. Nicely depressing read. Helps with the therapy. Terrible appointment and surely he needs to be put out of his misery soon.
Thanks Julian! Glad to help with the therapy, haha. Terrible appointment indeed, I feel sorry for Ramsay because I've no doubt he's a very good coach, but he's not even remotely what Albion needed at this time.
Nice post. Articles like this are some of the small highlights from a few miserable seasons. It is difficult to get context on social channels because of highly emotional responses in combination with algorithms. This takes me back to the fanzine style, which leans rhe same way but with more nuance and less madness peeking through (so much). Although this team does drive you to it.
